Hotel Maien- Restaurant in Todtmoos

We were in the restaurant and were served very friendly! The food was nicely presented and tasted great. Highly recommended, we will be back.

The restaurant staff can be more positive. A smile doesn't cost anything.

In the afternoon we stopped in the beer garden. Delicious sausage salad special for € 8.50. Even when there was a lot going on, the service remained friendly and did not allow itself to be disturbed.

We went to the garden terrace for a drink. The service was very unfriendly and we were hardly noticed ....

We ate here on our first evening vacation. The service was very nice, but the food was overall more "okay" than "very good" (although it can of course be different for other dishes, ie better) and we ate better elsewhere at Todtmoos, hence the one star deduction .

Spent four beautiful days. Simple, functional room with shower, toilet, half board very good, nice beer garden.

Food delicious. Price performance completely okay. Nothing to complain about ☺

The food in the restaurant is delicious. Unfortunately a bit darkly furnished. We weren't in the hotel ourselves

We enjoyed having a "cold drink" here on the terrace. The employees are very friendly and also pay close attention to hygiene in this "Corona time", which I very much welcome. So I can only recommend this house very much! We'd love to come back!

Very nice restaurant in the Black Forest style. We sat comfortably and ate delicious. The service is always friendly and brisk.

We stopped for dinner after a nice long hike in the beer garden of the restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive, but unfortunately not recommending the food! Finished products seemed to have been used and the meat was far too tough and unfortunately not really tasty! The prices were quite high and the food was unfortunately not worth the price.

Accommodation: Hotel is getting on in years, for example the bathrooms (dark, broken tiles, small mold stains) could be overhauled and the walls could be repainted. Unfortunately also very badly soundproofed, so you can hear one or the other toilet in the room above. Basically quite good for one night, but after a hike it can wear you down a bit. Breakfast was ok too but overall it wasn't worth the price to me. However, the owner and staff were extremely friendly. Restaurant: We received a friendly welcome here too. Unfortunately the vegetarian food was very small and the potato pockets a frozen product. The meat dish was tasty and sufficient. In the beer garden you can certainly sit well! Conclusion: Next time we will use the shuttle bus back to St. Blasien after the hike

I only ate at restaurant, it was super busy, only one waitress but she was rocking it! The food was very good as well.

Good accommodation for walkers. The restaurant not so much. One meal seemed like it was frozen store bought, and much too small for anyone who has been walking. The rooms could do with a renovation. People working here are very nice.

Great inn with good accommodation. Ideal for a motorcycle traveler. Cheap. Enjoy your meal. Good beer. Good breakfast. Just fits!

Beautiful village in an incomparably beautiful walking environment with rippling mountain streams and beautiful nature. Great pastries at Bockstaller. Good pizza place. Village has some dated. Were guests in the Schwarzwaldhaus of Hotel Maien. We had a super-sized apartment. Noisy and too small balcony. In the evening on the terrace of Maien we enjoyed a lot of rothaus beers. Super nice atmosphere!

Wonderschönes hotel

A nice hotel. We joined a group of friends. The rooms were clean but a bit on the small side. The hospitality was nice including the restaurant on place.

Nice place just dont serve food between lunch and dinner time

This review concerns the restaurant only. We got the menu cards 20 minutes after being seated. One HOUR after we gave up our order, the food arrived. This wait is not acceptable. The food: one dish was not what we ordered but fine, one came straight out of the microwave and was partly dried out, the other 3 dishes were good. It’s the second time we eat at this establishment and the service was too slow both times. Pity, because the food is very decent. Keep the slow service in mind when coming here. You shouldn’t be in a hurry! The first time it made us miss an appointment …

Delicious food for a good price in their restaurant.

We are visiting this hotel for the fifth time. Nothing has changed here in 23 years, good food, neat room and bathroom without unnecessary luxury and this for a nice daily price, half board included with a choice of four main dishes, a soup and dessert. Small budget, the place to be!

The food was delicious. The service very friendly. Although the place was full we did not have to wait. A nice atmosphere, very comfortable. A restaurant to feel good. I can recommend it. A star deduction is available for the fried onions, which were not fresh.

A good time spent. Rates are reasonable and the place friendly. The waiter did his best to try to translate our French.

Price was OK and the staff also voted. The meat was on the spot only the sauce was a little lacking in taste. The ambiance was cozy and fit into the picture. Almost perfect keep it up! If you are visiting Todtmoos and looking for dinner in the evening, then a visit to the restaurant "Maien" is almost a must.
